In a charming atmosphere, the Folk Arts Band of Ain Shams University students shone in the International Festival of Drums and Traditional Arts, in its tenth session, which was held from May 27 to June 2 under the slogan "Drums Dialogue for Peace", under the auspices and support of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

Over the course of seven full days, the Ain Shams University team for folk and performing arts participated in the activities of the Cairo International Drumming Festival, the venues for the performances also varied in the different areas of Fatimid Cairo, such as the northern wall of Al-Muizz Street in the Fatimid religion of Allah and the Cultural Park in Sayeda Zeinab.

This is due to the level of professionalism with which the university's folklore team appeared, and it was chosen from among the teams that presented their paragraphs at the closing ceremony of the festival with teams from Greece, Palestine, and teams from Africa and India, especially since it is the only Egyptian university that participates in various artistic tableaus throughout the festival period.

The festival is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Dialogue Foundation for Arts and Cultures of Peoples, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.

This comes under the supervision of Mr. Tarek Ahmed Acting Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Prof. Mustafa Essa, Director of the Artistic Activity Department, Prof. Hend Hamed, Head of the Department of Performing Arts, Prof. Abdel-Fadil Kamal, supervisor of performing arts, Prof. Ahmed Adel, supervisor of popular arts.
