Within the framework of the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to build bridges of communication with Egyptian university students and raise the spirit of loyalty and belonging among students, and in the interest of Ain Shams University to raise the cultural and scientific level and educate its students in various fields of knowledge, the People’s and Military Defense Forces organized under the leadership of Major General Walid Hamed Al Hamaki, Commander of the Defense Forces Popular and military and in cooperation with Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud Eel-Meeini, President of the University and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Colonel Staff Officer. Ahmed Fahmy, Director of the Military Education Department at Ain Shams University, and the presence of Colonel Tariq El-Shimi, Deputy Director of the Military Education Department at the university, visit to Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.

         
   
         

With the aim of introducing students to the development of the digital system and benefiting from the capabilities of technology, in addition to getting acquainted with the Knowledge City and taking a tour inside it, Where the university students took an inspection tour inside the Knowledge City, which is being launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, on the latest technological systems in the New Administrative Capital, to see the latest developments, which aims to build an information society through which research and innovation in advanced technologies are supported, attracting investments of international technology companies, and providing Technical training to prepare promising generations capable of implementing projects to build digital Egypt

Its construction cost amounted to 3.2 billion pounds; It includes four buildings, including a building for innovation and applied research, another for technical training, a building for research and development in assistive technology, and Misr Informatics University specialized in communication sciences, information technology and related fields.

         
   
         

This visit comes within the directives of Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, stressed the necessity of activating field visits and participations for university students, as they form students’ awareness, add experiences to them, and help them develop their cultural and artistic abilities in addition to the scientific aspects.

Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud confirmed that such visits contribute to identifying the state's efforts towards developing the specialized digital education system and developing university education.

The vice president of the university praised the unprecedented achievements of the Egyptian state, adding that a city of knowledge was established using advanced technologies and in a manner befitting the civilizational development witnessed by Egypt and its vision to build the new republic, stressing that work is underway to establish a strong information infrastructure according to the latest technologies of communication sciences and information technology, which is a fundamental pillar for reaching digital Egypt.
