The folk arts team at Ain Shams University celebrates the opening ceremony of the African Cup of Nations in Cairo Stadium

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El- Meteini, President of the University, and Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The Ain Shams University team for folk and performing arts celebrated the opening ceremony of the African Nations Cup for Youth in Cairo Stadium, in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports and the heads of the African and Egyptian Football Associations, where the Ain Shams University team was the only university team from all Egyptian universities that celebrated the opening ceremony, which was broadcast live on Egyptian TV channels and international satellite channels.

The team's training was held at the Youth Welfare Center at Ain Shams University for several months. The choreography was choreographed by Captain Hassan Shehata, and the training was conducted by Captain Hossam Al-Mansi and Dr. Fadwa Al-Hunaidi. The final rehearsal took place on 2/18/2023, in preparation for the launch of the ceremony on the grounds of Cairo Stadium, where the opening ceremony was held on Sunday 2/19/2023 at three o’clock in the afternoon, Cairo time.

         
   
         

The Ain Shams University Folklore team presented some African performances before the start of the African Championship activities and the first match between Egypt and Mozambique. The team was supervised by Prof. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Student Activities, Mrs. Reham Al-Atifi, Acting Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Mohamed El Sharkawy, Director General Administration of Youth Welfare.

The team's training and implementation was followed by Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of the Artistic Activity Department, Mrs. Hind Hamed, Head of the Performing Arts Department at the Artistic Activity Department, and Mr. Ahmed Adel, the supervisor of the university's national team for folk and performing arts.
