The German ambassador was hosted by Ain Shams University in Cairo

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, met Mr. Frank Hartmann, the German Ambassador to Cairo, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss ways of cooperation in the research and academic fields between Ain Shams University and German universities.

The meeting witnessed Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Sherwit Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Expatriate Department at the University, Prof. Ahmed Al-Awadi, Director of the Center of Excellence for Sustainability at Ain Shams University, Prof. Ola Adel, Head of the German Language Department, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Badr, a faculty staff in the German Language Department.

   
   

The meeting dealt with several issues, the most important of which is cooperation with German universities, including the existing cooperation between Ain Shams University represented by the Faculty of Al-Alsun and the University of Leipzig in Germany within the framework of the joint international program in specialized translation between Arabic and German and the exchange of professors, the importance of openness to other cultures and knowledge, and benefiting from the experiences of others. Which is one of the paths of Ain Shams University in developing the educational process.

During the meeting, the German ambassador emphasized Ain Shams University's global status, its great scientific value, its distinguished contributions in the field of scientific research at the international level, and its advanced levels of study that meet the needs of the labor market, whether local or international, making it a unique university among Egyptian and foreign universities.

   
   

He also praised the depth of relations between Ain Shams University and German universities through a large number of cooperation agreements in addition to the many activities and workshops existing between Ain Shams University and German universities.
