Ain Shams University participates in the Arab Housing Conference in its seventh session

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Ain Shams University is participating in the Arab Housing Conference in its seventh session, entitled "Towards Smart Sustainable Cities that Achieve Quality of Life", which is hosted by Egypt on the sidelines of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, during the period from 18 December 20, 2022, in the new administrative capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Where the university participated in a session to review the efforts of Ain Shams University to transform into a green, smart and sustainable university, and the various institutional activities that the university is committed to serving the community and developing the surrounding urban, cultural and economic environment in all smart and sustainable fourth-generation cities.

         
   
         

The session was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Najwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Amr Shaath, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research.

The attendees also dealt with the university's efforts in innovation and entrepreneurship and making it available to all individuals on campus, in addition to the digital governance system and the digital transformation process taking place at Ain Shams University, and the establishment of an advisory umbrella for all university centers and units under the so-called Ain Shams University Experience House to participate in advisory services In all fields, locally and regionally.

The session also dealt with a review of all the national projects in which the university and its professors participated. Ain Shams University also participated in a distinguished pavilion in the conference exhibition to clarify all the projects and advisory services carried out by Ain Shams University to link education and scientific research to the labor market, especially in sustainable smart cities. Asim El-Gazzar, the Egyptian Minister of Housing, and Mr. Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the delegation of Ain Shams University participating in the conference exhibition to listen to the efforts of Ain Shams University in developing smart cities through institutional activities and participation in national projects.
