A workshop at the Faculty of Nursing Let's publish our research

The Faculty of Nursing organized a workshop entitled "Let's publish our research" under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the College, in the presence of faculty staff , the supporting staff, and graduate students of the College.

Present at the symposium Dr. Hiam Refaat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Eng. M. Abdul Aziz Saeed, Department of Pediatric Nursing.

Prof. Dr. Sahar Mousa said that organizing the symposium came within the framework of the college’s keenness to support faculty staff and graduate students to increase their knowledge and keep abreast of everything new in the performance of their research work, which in turn is reflected in the college and university’s level in general in the local and international research classifications, noting that scientific research is considered it is one of the most important pillars of knowledge in Egypt because of the initiatives and methods it provides for research and knowledge that contribute to increasing researchers in universities to raise and develop their performance.

Prof. Dr. Hiam Refaat added that the aim of the symposium is to introduce the importance of local and international scientific publishing, and it dealt with an explanation of how to publish scientific research, the mechanism of writing scientific research and developing human skills, as well as explaining many important points for researchers, including (the method of scientific writing, how to choose a research idea, how to choose a suitable magazine, how to verify the existence of the journal in Scopus databases, and what are the steps for submitting the research to scientific journals).

Dr. Abdel Aziz also talked about that the process of publishing scientific research is not a difficult process, but it needs experience in the publishing process, so the researcher must ask about the things he is ignorant of in the process of publishing research before he submits to publishing his scientific research, and discuss the most important points about the process of publishing research such as the conditions for formulating the title in scientific research, how the sources and references are documented in the scientific research to be published, and how to choose the appropriate scientific journal.
