The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, the Education and Student Sector, and a Family for Central Egypt at Ain Shams University organized a visit to the “Our Heritage” exhibition for handicrafts and heritage, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University For Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Commerce, and Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Director General of the Youth Welfare Department.

The exhibition will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, from 9 to 15 October.

         
   
         

The "Our Heritage" exhibition for handicrafts and heritage is one of the most important events that reflect the state's interest in owners of medium, small and micro enterprises, as well as artists and workers in the handicraft and heritage sector, with the aim of introducing and marketing the products of their projects.

About 1116 exhibitors from different governorates of the Republic will participate in the activities of the "Our Heritage" exhibition for handicrafts and heritage this year, of whom 45% are new exhibitors, which provides the opportunity to display and market their products. It also includes a large number of heritage, handicraft and artistic products for owners of small projects in more than 30 A heritage sector that includes artistic and creative products of thousands of skilled Egyptian artists and craftsmen.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came as a guest of honor for the “Our Heritage” exhibition in its fourth edition, and the sister Arab countries: the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Sudan and Libya are also participating in its activities, with distinctive pavilions, which offer many creative products and live performances that express The different cultures of the Arab peoples, the exhibition aims to provide a unique marketing and cultural experience, especially as it is considered one of the largest exhibitions specialized in traditional and handicraft products in the Arab region.

It is worth noting that there are many pavilions for business, handicrafts and heritage, which include glass products, textiles, copper products, as well as Khayamiya and arabesque products. Their projects and the development of their products by the Medium, Small and Micro Enterprise Development Agency.

The exhibition also included pavilions of handicrafts and heritage exhibits for a group of exhibitors of people of determination.

In its current session, the exhibition included more than 100 exhibitors of people of determination, by displaying the products of 15 NGOs dedicated to the care of people of determination and cancer patients from various governorates of the Republic, in addition to a set of their projects.

         
   
         

The distinguished participation of women during this session came from the “Our Heritage” exhibition, where the models in this session represent 69% of the total exhibitors, which reflects the positive role of women and their influential contribution to the production process that depends on their skills and creativity in the artistic and craft field. To the participation of a number of parties concerned with women in this exhibition, including the National Council for Women, the Rotary Liberation Club, the Union of Arab Women Investors, the Women of the Shooting Club, and exhibitors of the project to promote women in international trade funded by the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation and the Islamic Development Bank, in addition to the participation of A number of women trainees in the framework of the project to contribute to creating job opportunities for women in Upper Egypt, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development.

At the conclusion of the tour at the "Our Heritage" exhibition for handicrafts and heritage, the students touched the artistic creativity, the quality and craftsmanship of the various products, handicrafts and heritage works on display, and the state's efforts to support the various activities of the medium, small and micro enterprises sector.

Prof. Dr. Amina Yassin Abbas from the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Department of Arabic Language, specialization in Comparative Grammar, and Prof. Noha Salah El-Din Ali Mohamed, assistant teacher at the Faculty of Al-Alsun - Department of Japanese Language, participated in the organization of the visit to a family for Central Egypt led by Prof. Ahmed Khaled, and older sister Hadeer Ismail.
