The Faculty of Archeology holds the eleventh Board of the faculty

The Board of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University held its eleventh monthly meeting in the Faculty Board Hall, headed by Prof. Dr. Hussam Tantawi, Acting Dean of the Faculty and its Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the membership of Prof. Dr., Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, heads of scientific departments, and members of the Board.

         
   
         

It was initiated by Prof. Dr. Hussam Tantawi, acting dean of the Faculty, who congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year, which coincided with the celebration of the Prophet's birthday and the victories of the sixth of October, wishing everyone success and payment.

With regard to the education and student affairs sector, His Excellency discussed with the Board the failure to open the Language and Civilization Division of the second year in the two divisions of ancient Egyptian antiquities and Greek and Roman antiquities due to the lack of completion of the minimum for opening the division, and the adoption of a plan for scientific field training for the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023 AD for the first and second divisions.

And moving the discussions to the sectors of graduate studies and community service, a presentation by Dr. Ahmed Al-Shoki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, several topics, most notably: the adoption of the schedules for the first semester of graduate studies for the academic year 2022/2023, a proposal to organize the procedures for registering master’s and doctoral degrees in the Faculty, approval of registrations for master’s and doctoral subjects, and approval of the formation of the Faculty’s library committee.

Dr. Rania Zeidan, Director of the Quality Unit at the Faculty, presented various topics, including the adoption of descriptions and matrixes for the undergraduate and graduate studies, the adoption of the teaching, learning and evaluation strategy for the Faculty, and the plan of the Quality Assurance Unit for the academic year 2022/2023.
