Welcoming the new academic year at Faculty of Al-Alsun

The Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, celebrated the reception of new students from the first year students, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty.

The celebration of the republican peace began, then the reading of what was available from the Holy Qur’an was followed by the students’ review of some musical and poetic arts, and some of the students’ art and handicrafts were shown.

         
   
         

The celebration was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of professors, faculty members and the supporting staff.

In her speech to the students emphasized Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad said that the Faculty of Al-Alsun is one of the oldest and oldest Faculties in the field of language teaching in the Middle East. The Faculty was established during the reign of Refaa Al-Tahtawi in 1835, and the number of different language departments in the Faculty has now reached 15, in addition to the presence of eight accredited hour programs specialized in translation and interpretation and specialized translation, stressing the Faculty's keenness on continuous development in its programs to serve the student's interest.

The dean of the Faculty recommended to the new students the necessity of regularity from the first day because languages ​​need to develop language skills in speaking, writing and reading.

   
   

She added that the fields of Al-Alsun graduates in the labor market are wide and include various fields of life, whether it is in the political, diplomatic, information technology, translation and teaching fields.

At the end of the celebration, the Dean confirmed that the Faculty administration doors are open to students on an ongoing basis to receive any suggestion or complaint, which will be dealt with directly and resolved.
