The Faculty of Agriculture held the annual conference of the Economic and Social Sciences Program for the Departments of Agricultural Economics and Rural Society, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr.. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Adel Eid Mahfouz, Emeritus Professor of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naseem Ali Swailem, Emeritus Professor of Agricultural Extension, Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Azhar University, and Dr. Nagwa Kotb - Researcher at the Climate Center, Dr. Rehab El-Sherbiny, senior researcher at the Desert Research Center, Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed, Ministry of Commerce.

Where the themes of the conference - which began with the student Hibatullah Alaa Al-Din Sayed (second level) - may God have mercy on her - focused on the development of student activities, field training, activities related to faculty affairs, and scientific awards won by the program of economic, social, agricultural and graduate studies (registration of registration and awarding of scientific degrees ), in addition to honoring a number of guests who contributed to the program’s activities, as well as honoring academically outstanding students from the third and fourth levels, and outstanding students in field training in the agricultural economics and social sciences program at the faculty.

On the sidelines of the conference, a workshop was held entitled: (National Academic Standards and Specifications of the Graduate of the Economic and Social Sciences Program), which focused on the most important problems facing the graduates of the program, the required specifications, and the opportunities available for graduates in the labor market, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal Al-Sayed, heads of the two departments’ councils (Prof. Dr. Thana’a Al-Nubi, and Prof. Samia Abdel-Azim), professors, assistant staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the two departments, and researchers from various research bodies.

The workshop was moderated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamdi Salem (adviser to the National Poultry Company), Dr. Samir Al-Nagar (representative of the private sector for Deltex), Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hassan (Director of Extension Research Institute), Prof. Dr. Shawky Amin (Dean of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute for Training).
