Collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine Research Center and the University of Minnesota, USA

Within the framework of Egypt’s vision 2030 to support the field of applied scientific research in cooperation between research centers and various educational bodies and under the patronage of Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University and Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, the MASRI Faculty of Medicine Research Center received Dr. Shayali Prasad, Director Executive Director of the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility at the University of Minnesota, USA, as part of his visit program to the university.

Dr. Prasad inspected the various units in the center and the existing research projects in the presence of Dr. Hesham Al-Ghazali, the director of the center. Both of them talked about ways of cooperation between the two universities in the field of scientific research, especially in the field of oncology and infectious diseases, and developed plans for programs for the exchange of experiences and training of doctors and staff at the center in the field of Bioinformatics, medical statistics and molecular genetics.
