Ain Shams University convoy succeeds in serving the people of Beheira Governorate as part of "a Dignified life" initiative

Within the framework of the presidential initiative "a decent life", and under the auspices of Major General Hesham Amna, Governor of Beheira and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, organized the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Sector Affairs, organized a comprehensive development convoy to serve the people of the village of Boutros, the center of Abu Homs.

         
   
         

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahera Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Affairs.

         
   
         

The one-day convoy provided free medical services to 600 citizens in the specialties of internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, children, ear, nose and throat, in addition to referring 8 cases to receive free treatment at Ain Shams University Hospitals in Cairo.

         
   
         

The convoy also provided free treatment, and treatment was given to 500 citizens from the convoy pharmacy.

Mr. Suhail Hamza conducted an inspection tour, during which he began the work of the convoy amid precautionary and preventive measures, and made sure that masks were distributed free of charge to all those who frequent the convoy.

The convoy included a number of awareness campaigns presented by Dr. Tariq Abdel-Fattah told the people of the village about proper nutrition and its impact on health, which included a number of themes, including the concept of healthy nutrition, its importance and benefits, as well as an awareness campaign entitled Women and Children’s Health, which discussed several axes, including the causes of women’s exposure to diseases, women’s mental health, and the President’s initiative to support the health of Egyptian women.

The work of the convoy also included the literacy axis headed by Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University, and in coordination with the Branch of the Adult Education Authority in Beheira Governorate, where immediate exams were held for 128 citizens.

It is noteworthy that Ain Shams University continues its comprehensive development convoys in various governorates of the Republic in order to activate its service and development role and to implement Egypt's Vision 2030.
