President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi meets with the Supreme Council of Universities at Kafr El-Sheikh University headquarters

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed the state’s full support for the university system in appreciation of its important role and in the belief that distinguished and advanced university education is the locomotive of progress that leads nations to a better future.

The President also directed the Supreme Council of Universities to:

Strengthening mechanisms for sponsoring and supporting talented and outstanding students, in order to build a generation of distinguished youth cadres capable of innovative contributions to completing the country’s sustainable development process, and to consolidate the factor of knowledge, innovation and creativity in society.

Supporting the process of linking the scientific research system and its specialized research centers with the university education sector and providing all facilities for the preparation of innovative research and studies, in order to participate in formulating scientific solutions to the challenges facing the Egyptian state and national development projects in all fields.

Develop activities within universities in order to build students’ personality and enhance their awareness and correct realistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities in Egypt as a pivotal issue that requires regular awareness.

For their part, the members of the Supreme Council of Universities expressed their honor to meet the President, and their appreciation for his sovereignty’s keenness to enhance the role of Egyptian universities in forming young cadres of the country’s people who are able to compete in the labor market and achieve community needs and comprehensive development plans.
