Research of Egyptian-Russian cooperation at the Faculty of Al-Alsun

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, received a Russian delegation from the University of Economics headed by Prof. Dr. Leonid Isayev, Mrs. Elisa Shishkina, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Immigrants Department at the university, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasr Al-Gebali, Head of the Russian Language Department, Prof. Dr. Nevin Kamal, Professor, Department of Arabic Language, Prof. Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Alumni of Russian Universities.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of the expected cooperation between the two universities through the portal of the Faculty of Al-Alsun. Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the university administration is working to activate fruitful international partnerships in order to comprehensively improve the level of the educational process, pointing out that the Faculty of Al-Alsun has many specialized programs at the level of language, literature and specialized translation.

She emphasized that the faculty has an outstanding program for Arabic for non-native speakers; It includes a group of senior specialists in teaching Arabic language assets and translation from and to non-native speakers and is eligible to receive foreign students from now on. The faculty also has an electronic platform at a distinguished level that can be used for distance learning, as well as holding training courses for the Arabic language for non-native speakers.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the Faculty of Al-Alsun seeks to hold a joint program with the Russian University at the bachelor's and postgraduate levels, like its joint programs with the University of Salamanca in Spain and the University of Leipzig in Germany.

The two sides discussed the possibility of activating student exchange between the two sides, as well as activating distance learning mechanisms using the educational platforms owned by the two universities. Dr. Leonid Isayev stated that cooperation with the Faculty of Al-Alsun is necessary to activate it and send students from Russia to learn Arabic and translation skills from and to it.

He stressed that the cooperation between the two sides will take place after preparing a draft cooperation protocol that will be submitted to the presidency of Ain Shams University for activation soon.

In conclusion, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied the delegation on an inspection tour of the credit hour halls and electronic examination halls.
