A delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan visits the Faculty of Arts

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, received Prof. Dr. Swing Aliyeva, Chair of the State Committee for the Azerbaijani Language in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the accompanying delegation, and a representative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Egypt.

They were also received by A. Dr. Rania Mohamed Fawzy, Head of the Oriental Languages ​​Department, Prof. Dr. Magda Makhlouf, Professor of Turkish Language in the Department.

The visit dealt with a friendly talk about the features of the future cultural and scientific exchange between the two sides, especially that the Department of Oriental Languages ​​is the only one of its kind inside Ain Shams University, in which the Azeri language is taught and in which about 400 students study.

         
   
         

Aliyeva was keen to donate a set of books on teaching the Azeri language to non-native speakers of the college library, and she also exchanged a cordial conversation with some faculty staff, Dr. Mayada Ahmed and Dr. Khaled Al-Swerki and the teaching assistant, as well as a group of students studying this language in the department.

It is worth noting that Prof.Dr. Ahmed Sami Abdel-Fattah, the professor in the department, was the cultural attaché in Azerbaijan.

For its part, the Azeri side expressed its ambitious desire to conclude a cooperation agreement with Ain Shams University represented by the Faculty of Arts to exchange professors, scientific visits and scientific research in specialization and inter-studies, to deepen cultural and scientific cooperation between the two sides.

Everyone was keen to take memorial photos of the faculty's most prominent landmarks, such as the library, conference hall and the college council.
