President of Ain Shams University: More than 75,000 students have been vaccinated at the university

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, confirmed that more than 75,000 students have been vaccinated at Ain Shams University.

He added, during a video interview with the journalist Ahmed Moussa on Sada Al-Balad channel, that no one will be allowed to enter the university campus without receiving the vaccine, starting from November 15.

Prof. Dr. El-Metini spoke about education in Egyptian medical faculties, stressing that it is the best education in the world, pointing out that 10,000 doctors are graduated annually, indicating that doctors’ salaries need a serious look to improve their conditions, pointing out the need for attractive retention policies for doctors.

Prof. Dr. El-Metini said that President El-Sisi directed the formation of a committee to localize the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt, stressing that they seek to take scientific research in Egypt to global medical horizons.

On the other hand, Dr. El-Metini said that the whole world witnessed to Egypt the presidential initiative to get rid of the C virus. He advised everyone who got rid of the C virus to conduct sound waves every 6 months and follow up periodically.

The President of Ain Shams University also spoke about organ transplantation in Egypt and the difficulties it faces, and said the problem of organ transplantation is related to the culture of the Egyptians, noting that the organ donation process takes place through the patient's signature in the hospital on a declaration that includes (I wish - I do not wish) to donate organs after death.

Prof. Dr. El-Metini pointed out that there are 30 kidney centers and 14 liver centers for organ transplantation and transplantation in Egypt, noting that the cornea, pancreas, heart and lung valves are among the most prominent organs that are transplanted.

Regarding organ transplants, the President of Ain Shams University said that simple hours are available for organ transplantation from the moment they are taken from the patient, adding that the patient conducts full examinations from which organs are transferred, noting that there are modern and advanced devices that contribute to the transfer and preservation of organs from other countries.

El-Metini agreed with Al-Azhar and the Church on the legality of organ transplants from the deceased, indicating that intensive care doctors are the ones who diagnose clinical deaths, and that the deceased donor can accept his donation until the age of 70 years.

He added that 50% of kidney donors are not relatives and alive, and that the organ trade is an unfortunate title that is being promoted
