The University has three partnerships for excellence centers in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development and American and Egyptian universities

In the field of energy sciences, Ain Shams University was awarded a major partner and headquarters of the Center of Excellence in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in cooperation with an alliance of several Egyptian universities, Mansoura and Aswan.

In the field of agricultural sciences, Ain Shams University participates as a local partner with the Universities of Cairo and Cornell in the framework of an alliance that includes a number of American universities are Purdue University, Michigan and California Davis and a number of Egyptian universities are Banha, Suez Canal and Assiut.

In the field of water, Ain Shams University participates as a local partner with the University of Alexandria and the American University in Cairo in cooperation with an international coalition that includes a number of American universities: California, St. Cruz, Utah State, Washington State and Temple University, in cooperation with Egyptian universities, Aswan, Beni Suef and Zagazig.
