The Minister of Higher Education reviews a field report to follow up Ain Shams University projects, at a cost of one billion and 786 million pounds

In the context of his follow-up of the executive projects to develop public universities, Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviews a report submitted by Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister for National Projects, on the field visit for realistic follow-up of Ain Shams University projects.

The report indicated that the development of the Obstetrics Hospital reception was completed, the development of digital halls at Al-Alsun College, the development of the Heart Academy, the development of examination halls in the College of Medicine, the upgrading of the Cardiac Academy garage, the development of the Research Center and facades of the departments building at the College of Medicine, and the establishment of the open restaurant in the university city Equipping the data center and information center in the main campus, developing the basement of the emergency hospital, developing the general site for the main campus, developing digital halls and classrooms at Al-Alsun College, developing the Saffron Palace from outside, raising the efficiency of the youth welfare headquarters, and installing elevators inside the Demerdash Surgical Hospital to provide more comfort for the hesitants. The hospital must plant the general site for the main campus, complete the first phase of furnishing the classrooms at Al-Alsun College, equip the Vision and Student Affairs Center, and the Girls College Theater, and equip the university city playgrounds.

The report indicated that the development of the nephrology department is underway, the development of classrooms at Al-Alsun College (6-8 halls) are being completed, the tuberculosis and fungi laboratory project completed, the conditioning works completed for the Women’s Hospital, the general site development of the Demerdash Surgical Hospital and the meeting rooms, and the Women’s Hospital fire alarm. Establishing a multi-storey garage and paving internal roads for ambulances at Al Demerdash Hospital.

The report added that a model building for reception and emergencies is being built, 4 colleges for students with special needs are being prepared (literature – law – science – computers), the establishment of a fire fighting network and alarms in outpatient clinics, the establishment of a water network and tanks for the Academy of Cardiac Surgery, development work in the emergency hospital, and the completion of the stage The second is the development of the general site of the main campus, the development of the pedestrian bridge from Campus 1 and Campus 2, the development of the children’s hospital and the women’s hospital power station, the development of the children’s hospital, the establishment of a multi-storey garage at the campus of the College of Commerce, the establishment of a fire network for the Women’s Hospital, and the upgrading of the faculties of the faculties of Pharmacy and Dentistry And the development of an amphitheater at the College of Medicine and the Innovation Center in the university city, and the theater of the Faculty of Specific Education.

The report pointed out that the total cost of the projects being implemented at Ain Shams University amounts to about one billion and 786 million pounds.

The Minister of Higher Education praised the commitment to the timetable for implementing executive projects at Ain Shams University, and emphasized support for the political leadership to develop public universities through national projects working to advance the higher education system with all its components.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, the media advisor and the official spokesperson of the Ministry, stated that the state’s policy aims at the continuous development of higher institutions at the level of public, private, private and technological universities and higher institutes as well as the system of research centers and institutes, in addition to the branches of international universities in Egypt, pointing out that the comprehensive development policy achieves the objectives of higher education related to making available University education opportunities within the country’s 2030 sustainable development plan.
