Prof. Dr. Sidek Afifi Award for scientific research, innovation and literature for the year 2021

The Graduate Studies and Research Sector at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Ayman Saleh, announced the opening of the application for the Prof. Sidek Afifi Award for scientific research, innovation and literature for the year 2021, and this award is granted in the fields of applied medical sciences and literature in novel writing, informatics and artificial intelligence. The value of the prizes reaches 1,000,000 million pounds, noting that the registration period for the award is from January 3 to March 6, 2021.

Based on the state’s keenness to encourage scientists, innovators and creative people from among its researchers and thinkers, and within the framework of supporting scientific research and the spirit of competition, in order to further improve the level of scientific research, and in the belief of Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi that the prosperity of nations is measured by the extent of their care and interest in their researchers, creators and innovators, and that one of the forms of this interest It is reflected in the material and moral support for this elite, and realizing the need to pay attention to researchers, support them, and encourage them to invest the results of their research. His Excellency set aside an annual award for that.

The award aims to discover and adopt creative research and literary energies and talents among the youth in Egypt and help researchers to invest the results of their research and innovations and turn them into products that positively affect the economies of the country and the Arab region, give attention to talented and creative people and encourage them to give by giving them an opportunity to express their ideas and opinions and support and develop the spirit of scientific research Among the segments of Egyptian society.

Fields of awarding the award:
The field of applied medical sciences, prizes worth up to 150 thousand pounds
In the field of informatics and artificial intelligence, valuable prizes amounting to 150 thousand pounds
The field of literature in writing a novel prize value of up to 50 thousand pounds

General conditions for candidacy:
The candidate must be an Egyptian national
The candidate should not have previously obtained any other scientific award with the same scientific production submitted for this award
It is a condition in the research or production that the candidate submits to obtain any of the announced prizes that he has not previously submitted them to obtain other awards.
The candidate fills out the form prepared to be nominated for the award
Do not accept any additions or modifications to any document after its arrival.
Applications that do not adhere to the conditions of the award, nor those that arrive after the nomination period ends, are not considered.
Note that the deadline for receiving works in the agency is on 3/6/2021
