Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics, Petroleum Geophysics, or Geophysics with one of the approved double-major specializations from an Egyptian university, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Program Board and recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.

Skills Acquired by Graduates

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be able to: Apply advanced principles and modern theories of petroleum geophysics to explore and evaluate hydrocarbon reservoirs, Utilize a wide range of geophysical techniques—including seismic, gravity, magnetic, electrical, and well logging methods—for data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.,Operate specialized software for geophysical data processing and interpretation and develop geological and geophysical models.,Integrate geophysical, geological, and well data to improve reservoir characterization and reduce exploration risks.,Evaluate the quality of geophysical datasets and select appropriate processing and analytical techniques.,Apply modern digital technologies, including artificial intelligence and advanced data analysis tools, to geophysical investigations.,Prepare professional technical reports and scientific presentations in accordance with recognized industry standards.,Apply geophysical methods in sustainable energy applications, including Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), geothermal energy, and hydrogen storage.,Demonstrate the knowledge and technical competencies required to meet the needs of the petroleum and energy sectors.,Maintain proficiency in modern geophysical technologies and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
