Master of Dental Public Health and Community Dentistry (Academic)
2026-07-01Admission Requirements
1- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Egypt or an equivalent degree.
2- Completion of the internship (housemanship) year is required.
3- A minimum grade of “Good” in the Bachelor’s degree is required, or “Pass” provided that the applicant holds a Postgraduate Diploma.
4- Approval from the applicant’s employer and provision of full-time study release are required.
5- Submission of all required documents addressed to the Dean of the Faculty within the period specified in the regulations.
6- Approval by the relevant academic department council; registration is considered effective from the date of approval by the Faculty Council of the final departmental nomination.
7- Tuition fees must be paid prior to the start of the program or according to the schedule announced by the faculty.

All applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Egyptian universities or equivalent degrees recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities

Academic track: 3 core years + 2 extension years

Program Rationale
The program equips students with advanced expertise in diagnosing oral health problems at the community level, planning and implementing preventive programs, and managing oral health services. It also applies evidence-based dentistry in professional practice.
The program combines practical training with academic study, enabling students to analyze community health problems, design and conduct scientific research, and evaluate health programs and policies. It emphasizes the promotion of oral and dental health and disease prevention, in addition to participation in impactful research and community-based projects.
Enrollment Outcomes
The program prepares graduates to plan, implement, and evaluate oral and dental health programs at the community and population levels. It integrates principles of public health with research-based learning, enabling graduates to apply epidemiological methods, biostatistics, and evidence-based strategies to promote oral health, prevent disease, and improve access to dental care services.
The program also includes the preparation of a research thesis aimed at developing scientific research skills and evidence-based practice, thereby enhancing analytical and critical thinking skills among students.
