The end of the comprehensive development activities of Ain Shams University convoy for the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad, in the Red Sea Governorate

Ain Shams University's comprehensive development convoy to the cities of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate has successfully completed its work, under the patronage of Major General Amr Mohamed Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and headed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Prof. Shahira Samir Moussa, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Tariq Youssef, Director of Al-Demerdash Surgical Hospital and administrative supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community and Environmental Affairs, as the convoy provided its various services in its various axes in cooperation with the Southern Military Region.

At the medical axis level, the various clinics of the convoy received more than 2503 beneficiaries from the specialties of ophthalmology and internal medicine, chest, dentistry, women, dermatology and others.

The Caravan Pharmacy also provided medicines for free to more than 2,300 beneficiaries, in addition to conducting 21 surgeries in various specialties and transferring 139 cases to Ain Shams University hospitals over a four-day period of the convoy.

As for the literacy axis presented by the University's Adult Education Center in coordination with the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education, the Adult Education Department in Shalateen, 40 literacy certificates were delivered and 30 placement tests were conducted in the presence of Major General Yasser Shaban, Chairman of the Shalateen City Council.

Within the framework of the university administration’s interest in spreading cultural awareness among the people, a number of awareness seminars were presented by Prof. Tariq Abdel Fattah, which benefited about 600 individuals, and dealt with belonging, patriotism and effective communication skills on how to provide distinguished medical service, self-confidence building skills, and international goals for patient safety and safety.

The activities of the convoy also included providing a package of food aid to the people of Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad.
