Research Master’s in Agricultural Sciences (Poultry Physiology Program)

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from an academic institution recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities. The applicant must have obtained a minimum overall grade of Good, with a minimum specialization average of Very Good. In addition, no more than 15 years must have elapsed since obtaining the bachelor’s degree.

Egyptian and international students.

Application Periods:

Applications are accepted twice a year:

-October: From June to August each year.

-February: From November to January each year.

Program Duration: Four years.

Credit Hours:Minimum: 38 credit hours, Maximum: 47 credit hours

  • * Advanced study of embryonic physiology, incubation, and embryonic development, and their relationships to production quality.
  • * Development of advanced knowledge in the physiology of behavior and physiological adaptation to different environmental conditions.
  • * Opportunities to engage in advanced research in nanotechnology, immunology, and gut health.
  • * Promotion of applied research that supports the poultry industry and enhances the competitiveness of the agricultural and livestock sectors.

  • * Evaluate reproductive and productive performance and identify factors contributing to reduced production efficiency.
  • * Demonstrate proficiency in modern laboratory techniques, including sample and tissue preparation and examination, as well as physiological and biochemical measurements and analyses.
  • * Apply biosecurity measures and environmental stress management strategies in poultry production systems.
  • * Utilize advanced techniques in incubation, artificial insemination, and semen preservation.
  • * Assess immune responses and evaluate health indicators in poultry.
  • * Improve poultry housing and production environments while addressing factors affecting bird welfare.
  • * Apply biotechnology and nanotechnology to enhance poultry production and productivity.
  • * Design and conduct scientific research, implement experimental protocols, and analyze and interpret research findings.
  • * Qualify for professional careers in poultry production, research laboratories, feed and vaccine industries, universities, and research institutions.
