Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences (Poultry Breeding Program)

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must hold a Research Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from a recognized university or an equivalent degree from another scientific institution recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities. The period from obtaining master’s degree must not exceed ten years. Applicants are required to enroll in the same specialization as their master’s degree within the same department. If applying from a different specialization, they must successfully complete at least 30 credit units from the master’s-level courses of the new specialization with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (Very Good), in addition to the PhD coursework.

Egyptian and international students.

Application Periods:

Applications are accepted twice a year:

-October Intake : From June to August each year.

-February Intake : From November to January each year.

Program Duration: Five years.

Credit Hours:Minimum: 54 credit hours, Maximum: 66 credit hours

  • * Analytical Competencies: Analyze statistical and genetic data to evaluate flock performance and support evidence-based breeding decisions.
  • * Managerial Competencies: Conduct production cost analysis, manage poultry production projects, and perform economic feasibility assessments.
