Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry (Academic – Clinical Track) for Egyptian Students
2026-06-30Admission Requirements
1- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS) from Egypt or an equivalent degree.
2- Completion of the internship (housemanship) year.
3- A minimum grade of “Good” in the Bachelor’s degree, or “Pass” provided the applicant holds a postgraduate diploma.
4- Approval from the employer granting full-time study release.
5- Submission of all required documents addressed to the Dean of the Faculty within the specified application period.
6- Approval of the relevant department council; registration is considered effective from the date of approval by the Faculty Council upon departmental nomination.
7- Payment of tuition fees prior to the start of the program or according to the announced deadlines.
Target Group: Egyptians
All Egyptian dentists holding a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Egyptian universities or its equivalent as recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.
Program Duration
Academic track: 3 basic years + 2 additional years
Clinical track: 2 basic years + 2 additional years
Application Period
During February and March of each year
Credit Hours:
*Academic Track:* *70 credit hours* (comprising *50 coursework credit hours* and *20 credit hours allocated to the thesis*).
*Clinical Track:* *50 coursework credit hours* only.
Program Advantages
The program provides integrated clinical training that supports evidence-based practice and enables students to develop competencies in diagnosing and managing oral and dental diseases in children, behavior management, and preventive care.
It also emphasizes scientific research skills and thesis preparation according to modern academic standards, encouraging participation in research activities and international publication, thereby enhancing research productivity and keeping pace with global advancements in the specialty.
In addition, the program provides hands-on clinical experience in managing oral and dental conditions in children and adolescents, including behavior management, early childhood caries treatment, pulp therapy in primary and immature permanent teeth, traumatic dental injuries, and modern preventive and therapeutic approaches.
Skills Acquired by Graduates
The program prepares graduates to deliver dental care for children and adolescents with a strong focus on evidence-based, patient-centered practice. It develops competencies in behavior management, comprehensive treatment planning, and adherence to the highest ethical and professional standards.
The academic track additionally includes the preparation of a research thesis that enhances scientific research skills, evidence-based practice, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning.
