Doctorate Degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
2026-07-01Admission Requirements
1- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in the same specialization from a recognized university, or an equivalent degree accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities.
2- Approval from the employer allowing the candidate to enroll in the PhD program and granting the required study leave.
3- Submission of an application including all required documents addressed to the Dean of the Faculty within the specified application period.
4- For international students, the regulations of the University’s International Students Administration apply.
5- A scientific and applied research thesis is required, containing a new scientific contribution equivalent to (30) credit hours.
Target Group: Egyptians – International Students – Both
All Egyptian and international dentists holding a Master’s degree in Dentistry from Egyptian universities or its equivalent as recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.
Program Duration
Four (4) academic years as a basic duration, in addition to two additional years.
Application Period
From January to May each year.
Credit Hours: 70 credit hours (comprising 40 coursework credit hours and 30 credit hours allocated to the thesis)

1- Qualification to the highest levels of surgical competence in diagnosing, managing, treating, and rehabilitating diseases, injuries, and deformities of the oral and maxillofacial region at a deeper and broader level than the master’s degree.
2- Intensive clinical surgical training supported by advanced theoretical coursework ensures the development of surgeons with strong clinical judgment and high surgical skills.
3- Development of scientific research capabilities through research-based learning, enabling graduates to contribute to the advancement of surgical knowledge.
4- Qualification for complex surgical rehabilitation of deformities and injuries, moving beyond routine surgical management toward comprehensive reconstructive interventions.
