Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, has issued decisions appointing the following professors as heads of departments at the Faculty of Medicine:

Prof. Amr Abdel Raouf Ali Abdel Nasser as Head of the Department of General Surgery, effective October 21, 2026, until November 30, 2026, when he reaches the statutory retirement age.

Prof. Khaled Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Saleh as Head of the Department of Community, Environmental and Occupational Medicine, effective October 21, 2026, until January 24, 2028, when he reaches the statutory retirement age.

Prof. Tamer Mohamed Fathy Mohamed El-Mekkawy as Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, effective October 21, 2026, until August 13, 2027, when he reaches the statutory retirement age.

Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Fathy El-Shahat Dergham as Head of the Department of Plastic, Burn and Maxillofacial Surgery, effective October 21, 2026, for a three-year term.

Prof. Samer Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed as Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT Surgery), effective October 21, 2026, until March 31, 2027, when he reaches the statutory retirement age.

Prof. Hossam El-Din Ashour Abdel Hamid Khalil as Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, effective October 21, 2026, until January 4, 2029, when he reaches the statutory retirement age.
