As part of the cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University and Egyptian Television, the Faculty’s theater hosted the filming of three episodes of “Al-Montada,” in cooperation with the National Media Authority and the Maspero Academy. The event aimed to strengthen national awareness and connect students with Egypt’s proud military history through first-hand accounts from heroes and commanders of the October War.

The episodes, titled “A Meeting with the Heroes of Victory and the Crossing,” were presented and moderated by Dr. Hazem Abou El-Saoud, Head of the Maspero Academy. Attendees included Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and several university leaders. The event drew a large student audience and wide engagement.

The three episodes featured commanders who shed light on different aspects of the battle.

Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, said the event builds on the faculty’s role in raising students’ awareness and connecting them with national figures whose achievements have shaped the country’s history. The sessions concluded with students eagerly taking commemorative photos with the heroes and commanders of the October War.

The event hosted Major General Staff Ahmed Kamel Abdel-Mottaleb, former Head of the Reconnaissance Authority, who discussed the role of reconnaissance and intelligence gathering in achieving strategic surprise. In the second episode, the program hosted Major General Staff Mohamed Tharwat El-Nosairy, advisor to the Egyptian Military Academy and former infantry company commander, who spoke about preparing the soldier and military doctrine. The series concluded with Major General Staff Mahfouz Marzouk, former Director of the Naval Academy, who highlighted the role of the naval forces in securing the maritime theater.
