Launch of the 7th Scientific Conference on Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University
Under the patronage of Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals at Ain Shams University, the 7th Scientific Conference on Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases commenced, organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University. The conference brought together a distinguished group of leading professors and specialists from Egyptian universities and medical centers, along with experts from European universities.

The conference was held on September 10–11, preceded by a specialized Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases School on September 8–9 at the Training and Development Center of Ain Shams University Hospitals. The school aimed to equip young physicians with the latest scientific knowledge, practical expertise, and clinical skills in this highly specialized field.
The specialized school featured a series of scientific lectures covering a wide range of neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disorders, as well as the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. It also provided hands-on training in neurophysiological examinations and the use of ultrasound in diagnosis and treatment. In addition, a variety of clinical cases were presented and discussed, helping strengthen the practical skills of young physicians from various Egyptian universities.

The conference was organized by the Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases Center at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases and its Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases Section. The conference was chaired by Prof. Nagia Ali Fahmy, Professor of Neurology and Head of the Neurology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
The conference was attended by a distinguished group of professors from the Neurology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, as well as representatives from Egyptian universities, research centers, the Health Insurance Organization, the Armed Forces and Police, in addition to faculty members, professors, and specialists from various medical disciplines and universities across Egypt.
The specialized school witnessed strong attendance, reflecting the conference’s scientific significance and standing, as well as the keen interest of physicians and researchers in keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field.
The conference’s scientific program featured a series of specialized sessions and lectures highlighting the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Diseases. Emphasis was placed on promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise among senior professors, specialists, and young physicians, while showcasing the latest medical trends and practices aimed at advancing diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and improving the quality of healthcare provided to patients.
