Ain Shams University students continued their medal-winning performance at the 12th African University Games, “Cairo 2026,” securing one gold and one silver medal in the taekwondo competitions.

The results were as follows: Student Seif El-Din Mohamed won first place and the gold medal in the under-80 kg category, while student Youssef Wahdan secured second place and the silver medal in the over-80 kg category.

Ain Shams University is participating in the Games through the Education and Student Affairs Sector – General Administration of Youth Welfare, Sports Activities Department, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The University’s participation is coordinated and administratively supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for Education and Student Affairs.

This achievement adds to the series of accomplishments by Ain Shams University students and reflects their outstanding performance and ability to compete and secure top positions at the African level.
