Ain Shams University Volleyball Team Kicks Off Its Campaign with Victory over the University of Zambia
Ain Shams University’s volleyball team kicked off its campaign at the 12th African University Games, “Cairo 2026,” with a 3–0 victory over the University of Zambia team in the group stage.
The win reflects the University team’s strong start and boosts its chances of maintaining its competitive momentum and advancing to the next rounds of the tournament.
The participation of Ain Shams University’s volleyball team comes as part of the University’s involvement in the 12th African University Games, “Cairo 2026,” represented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector – General Administration of Youth Welfare – Sports Activities Department, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The University’s participation is coordinated and administratively supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
