Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that genuine investment in students is not limited to the academic aspect, but also extends to building their personalities and developing the skills and capabilities that enable them to meet future demands with efficiency and confidence. She also highlighted the importance of student activities and the Scout Movement in instilling the values of leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and initiative.

The course aimed to help students discover and develop their capabilities and equip them with a range of soft skills and labor market skills, enhancing their ability to address various challenges, work efficiently within teams, assume responsibility, take initiative, and create impact.
The “Ruwad” Initiative reflects the Faculty of Arts’ commitment to providing comprehensive pathways for building students’ personalities, extending beyond the academic aspect to developing their practical and leadership skills and capabilities. This contributes to preparing students who are more aware, confident, and capable of actively participating in their university and community environments.
The initiative is held under the slogan “Advance… Take Initiative… Lead,” a message that reflects its philosophy of moving students from acquiring knowledge to mastering skills, from participation to initiative, and from ambition to the ability to lead and make an impact.
