Ain Shams University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Hosts Children's University Students as Part of Program Activities

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Mamdouh Moawad, Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Sherweit El Ahmady, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, and under the supervision and coordination of Dr. Noha El Rafei, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department and Coordinator of the Children’s University at Ain Shams University, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center iHub at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Nevin Assem, CEO of the Innovation and Training Sector, hosted on Sunday, August 23, the ninth and tenth stage students of the “Children's Universityprogram.

The events were held as part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting young people and developing their scientific and creative skills, providing them with the opportunity to experience the university environment and various disciplines through an educational experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application and talent discovery.

The events opened with a speech by Dr. Islam Adly, Director of the Innovation Clubs Project, on the center's vital role in creating a conscious generation capable of building the Egyptian state.

Practical workshops were then conducted for children by Dr. Islam Adly and students from the ASU-iClub Innovation and Entrepreneurship Clubs project. These workshops aimed to raise awareness among students of the Children's University and develop their skills in informal creative education, discover scientific talents, and identify and support innovators and creators at an early stage of their education to nurture their abilities and refine their talents.

These workshops also focused on teaching children how to transform their ideas into small projects by identifying opportunities, goals, and the necessary steps to achieve them. They emphasized the importance of utilizing creative ideas and developing independent problem-solving skills, which are essential for encouraging children to innovate and preparing them for the labor market.

Recreational games were an integral part of the workshop activities, designed to educate children and convey information in a simple and innovative way.

These activities are part of the "Children's University" program's commitment to developing children's abilities and discovering their talents in science, arts, and Innovation, while fostering their passion for learning through practical and interactive experiences within the faculties of Ain Shams University.

The "Children's University" program continues from August 16th to 27th, reflecting the university's dedication to providing a stimulating learning environment that contributes to building a generation capable of creativity, Innovation, and shaping the future.

The Grants and Projects Department plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing the program’s logistics, in collaboration with the “Students for Egypt” initiative. This includes receiving, monitoring, and accompanying the children throughout the day's events, ensuring their safety and the smooth running of activities in a secure and organized learning environment.
