The Faculty of Nursing Hosts Children’s University Students as Part of the Program’s Activities Under the Slogan “Dream… Work… Create”
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Mamdouh Moawad, Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology; Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmedy, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector; and under the supervision and coordination of Dr. Noha El-Rafaei, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Administration and Coordinator of the Children’s University at Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Sahar Moussa Soliman, Dean of the Faculty, hosted students from the ninth and tenth cohorts of the Children’s University Program as part of the program’s activities held under the slogan “Dream... Work... Create.”

The visit was organized as part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to supporting young people and developing their scientific and creative abilities through an educational experience that combines knowledge with practical application.
The activities began with an introductory lecture on the Faculty of Nursing, covering the nature of study, its departments and specializations, as well as the fields of study and career opportunities in the nursing profession and its role in serving the community.
The activities also included specialized workshops on first aid and precautionary measures, during which the students learned how to respond quickly and safely to various emergencies and injuries, including fractures and splinting, methods of transporting injured persons, burns and their degrees, wounds and methods of disinfecting and dressing them, nosebleeds, dog bites, and snake bites.
The activities featured a distinguished practical component inside the Faculty of Nursing’s laboratories. The students were divided into teams and training groups and moved between different stations to put into practice what they had learned using educational models and mannequins. They received interactive training in first-aid skills and injury management under the supervision of the Faculty’s teaching staff and specialists.

The seminar’s training and supervision were conducted by Prof. Dr. Ferial Malika and Eng. Maryam Soliman, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Sahar Moussa Soliman and Prof. Dr. Hiyam Tantawy.
The “Children’s University” Program is an educational initiative implemented with funding from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. It aims to develop children’s skills and discover their talents in the fields of science and innovation through educational and practical activities delivered by scientists, faculty members, and specialists from the University’s various faculties.
The program’s activities will continue from August 16 to 27, as part of the University’s commitment to providing an engaging educational environment that contributes to building a generation capable of innovation and shaping the future.
The Grants and Projects Administration plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing the program’s logistics. In cooperation with “Students for Egypt,” the administration’s team is committed to welcoming the children, monitoring their participation, and accompanying them throughout the day’s activities, thereby ensuring their safety and the smooth implementation of the activities in a safe and well-organized educational environment.
