Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the Electronic Coordination Offices at Ain Shams University have concluded their work of receiving General Secondary Education Certificate students applying in the first phase of university admission coordination for the 2026/2027 academic year. The process continued from Wednesday, August 5, 2026, through Sunday, August 9, 2026, in accordance with the schedule approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

During the first phase, the University's Electronic Coordination Offices witnessed a strong turnout of General Secondary Education Certificate students from both the Science and Arts sections. The offices received more than 1,700 male and female students and provided them with the necessary technical and guidance support to assist them in electronically registering their preferences and understanding the coordination rules and the proper mechanisms for ranking their preferences.

The first phase activities at the Coordination Offices were conducted under the supervision of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, through Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and Ms. Reham El-Ottefy, Director General of the General Administration of Education and Student Affairs, with the participation of specialized work teams that ensured the smooth operation of the process and provided support to students and parents throughout the coordination period.

The 16 Electronic Coordination Labs, equipped with more than 340 computers, were distributed across several University faculties, including the Faculty of Computers and Information and the Faculty of Arts within the Abbassia campus, the Faculty of Engineering at Abdo Pasha, the Faculty of Agriculture in Shubra El-Kheima, and the Faculty of Girls in Heliopolis. In addition, specially equipped offices were provided to receive students with disabilities at the Faculties of Arts and Computers and Information, ensuring access to coordination services and providing a suitable environment for students to complete their procedures easily and smoothly.

This comes as part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting General Secondary Education Certificate students and providing them with educational and guidance services throughout the university admission and coordination phases.
