Ain Shams University Invites Undergraduate and Postgraduate Language Students to Join the “History Through Egyptian Eyes” Initiative

As part of its commitment to promoting national awareness and safeguarding cultural identity, and under the patronage of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Ain Shams University has announced, based on a circular received from the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Universities, the opening of applications for undergraduate and postgraduate students in language departments to participate in the "History Through Egyptian Eyes" initiative.

The initiative is a national project that aims to correct misconceptions surrounding Egypt's modern and contemporary history while promoting an accurate, evidence-based national narrative.

Competition and Target Participants

The initiative takes the form of a national translation competition targeting students in English, French, Spanish, and German language departments at public, private, national universities, and higher institutes across Egypt. It provides participants with an opportunity to apply their language skills in support of national issues.

Application Period

Translated submissions will be accepted from July 25 to August 2, 2026, in accordance with the announced participation rules and evaluation criteria.
