Ain Shams University Launches "STEP Up" Complementary Tracks and Micro-Credentials Initiative to Equip Students for the Labor Market
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Ain Shams University officially launched the STEP Up – Complementary Tracks and Micro-Credentials initiative this morning. The pioneering initiative reflects the University's strategic vision to modernize higher education and strengthen its alignment with the evolving needs of the labor market at the local, regional, and international levels.

The initiative stems from the University's commitment to investing in human capital and supporting Egypt's national efforts to prepare graduates with future-ready skills. It is aligned with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt Vision 2030, both of which emphasize the integration of education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
STEP Up represents a modern educational model designed to bridge the gap between academic education and labor market demands by offering complementary learning tracks and micro-credentials that equip learners with specialized, practical skills in high-demand fields based on international best practices.
The initiative offers a diverse portfolio of future-oriented learning tracks, including:
