Ain Shams University Showcases the Career Opportunities Offered by the "English for Teaching Science and Mathematics" Track under the STEP UP Project
Ain Shams University continues, through its STEP UP project, to offer specialized learning tracks designed to develop future skills and prepare highly qualified graduates for an increasingly competitive labor market. Among these is the English for Teaching Science and Mathematics track, which focuses on preparing teachers for careers in international and language schools in accordance with the latest international standards.
The track provides participants with the opportunity to develop competencies in academic communication in English, learner-centered classroom management, effective assessment and feedback, and the design and development of instructional materials in English. It also equips participants with the skills to integrate technology and artificial intelligence into teaching, in line with international best practices.
The program comprises six accredited Micro-Credentials, including four core certificates:
English Communication for Teaching Science and Mathematics
Facilitating Learner-Centered Classroom Discourse
Language for Assessment and Feedback
Designing and Developing Instructional Materials in English
In addition to two elective certificates:
English for Professional Communication
Technology- and AI-Enhanced Teaching
The program offers flexible learning pathways, allowing participants to pursue individual certificates or complete the entire track according to their academic and professional goals.
The track opens diverse career opportunities for its graduates, including teaching mathematics and science in English, working in international and language schools, training teachers in bilingual education programs, developing curricula and instructional materials, and contributing to the field of international education development.
