Ain Shams University Wins Two Grand Prizes and a Gold Medal at the Huawei ICT Competition Finals in China

In a new global achievement added to its record of international accomplishments, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, congratulated the university’s students for winning two Grand Prize awards, the highest awards in the finals of the Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Competition, which was held in Shenzhen, China, in addition to winning the gold medal and the cup in the fields of Cloud Computing and Computing.

The university affirmed that this achievement reflects the outstanding academic and technical level of its students and their ability to compete globally against a select group of international universities and institutions participating in the competition.

In the Cloud Track, student Abdulrahman Adel Al-Bahrawi, a 2025 graduate of the Information Systems program at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, was part of the team that won the grand prize. Meanwhile, student Karim Gamal won the grand prize in the Computing Track, an achievement that reflects the university's leadership in the fields of technology and digital transformation.

The university also commended the outstanding role of Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Dr. Mona Abdel-Azim, Director of the Faculty's Alumni Unit, in recognition of their continuous support for the students and their assistance throughout the preparation and qualification stages for the international competition.

Ain Shams University congratulated all the winning Egyptian students and their mentors, emphasizing that their achievement represents a shining example of the capabilities of Egyptian youth in the fields of innovation and information and communication technology.
