Admission Requirements

The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in science in Microbiology from the Faculties of Science or the Faculties of Girls’ Colleges at Egyptian universities (governmental, national, or private), or an equivalent academic qualification from Arab or foreign universities or recognized institutes, in accordance with the general regulations of the bylaws.


Target Group: Egyptians – non-Egyptians

Application Period: The master’s program accepts applications at the beginning of the academic year during the following periods:

September – October

January – February

May – June

Program Duration: Minimum one year and maximum seven years

Credit Hours: 48 credit hours


Program Dvanatages:

The Master’s program in Microbiology is distinguished by being offered by the Microbiology Department, which is considered the only specialized department in this field among Faculties of Science in Egyptian universities. This gives the program a unique academic and scientific distinction. The program includes modern and advanced courses that keep pace with contemporary developments and ongoing progress in various branches of microbiology, with a focus on research and applied aspects to meet labor market requirements and support advanced scientific research skills. The program is delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members with specialized academic and research expertise.

• The specialization in comparative anatomy, embryology, and animal ecology opens wide areas for postgraduate studies, scientific research, and employment opportunities in the field of scientific research, including:

• Studying the effects of drugs or natural substances on embryos and different organs.

• Research on congenital malformations and embryonic development.

• Studying various assisted reproductive technologies.

• Toxicology research and environmental impacts on animals.

• Working on animal models for studying human diseases.
