Within the framework of the activities of the second day of the tenth scientific conference of Ain Shams University under the auspices and presidency of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, the university hosted a distinguished scientific and dialogue session, the scientist Dr. Farouk Al-Baz, chaired by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, coordinated and attended by Prof. Dr. How to measure college graduate success: the case of NASA management

During the meeting, which brought together direct attendance and online technology, he welcomed Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Dr. Farouk El-Baz, praising his continuous communication with his mother university, Ain Shams University, which Ain Shams University is proud to be one of the most prominent scholars in Egypt and the Arab world who carried the name of Egypt abroad; They were a pride and role model inside and outside Egypt. He graduated from his mother scientific school, the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, majoring in geology, until he succeeded in transmitting the first Arabic message from Earth to the surface of the moon during the Apollo 15 flight.

Prof. Dr. Reem El-Kabariti pointed out that the scientist, Dr. Farouk El-Baz was and still is a righteous son of his country and his university, and he had great hands on the youth of Ain Shams University in particular, when he gifted its outstanding students from the Faculty of Science an annual financial prize awarded to scientific excellence in his name to the student and the first student at the college each year.

         
   
         

Ain Shams University was honored to award him an honorary doctorate in 2018, then the university signed a visiting professor agreement with him in 2019.

The river of his giving continues, so we can sit in his presence, learn the lessons of the past, draw inspiration from the present, and look forward to the future.

The scientist Dr. Farouk El-Baz began his speech by reviewing his first scientific career, stressing that he learned in the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, the best scientific curricula that were keeping pace with what he was studying in America, and this is the secret that helped him at the beginning of his career in America to draw attention to him and prove himself.

He spoke about the importance of rational management in achieving success at any level, regardless of the nature of work or specialization, which is an essential element for the success of NASA.

     
 
     

He also drew attention to the need to support young people, because young minds capable of achievement and success are not linked to an age, but is linked to the motive for success and the desire to achieve it, which is common among the youth group who possesses ambition, instant knowledge, continuous knowledge and insistence on success. We must take advantage of the energy and determination of young people if we want to develop and progress.

He advised the need to continue studying and collecting knowledge and knowledge, as he did not stop studying and collecting knowledge and knowledge in order to be constantly informed of everything that is new. He advised young people to constantly study on a daily basis because this matter is not related to obtaining a scientific degree, but it is related to achieving for yourself the value and respect of society and achieving progress in the field in which you specialize.

The session witnessed the opening of the door for questions from the youth and the attendees, amid a great interaction in which the scientist Dr. Farouk El-Baz presented various aspects of his life and practical experiences, stressing that specialization and the focus of each individual in a specific field to succeed in it and continue learning in it is the way to the renaissance of the country.
