Welcome to the International and Domestic Affairs office
The Office of International and Domestic Affairs was founded in 2025, it serves as the strategic bridge between the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University and external academic, research, and healthcare institutions locally, regionally, and globally.
The office facilitates partnerships, mobility programs, and administrative support to drive internationalization and strengthen local clinical and academic networks.
Core Responsibilities & Key Duties
● Partnership Management & Agreements (MOUs):
● Draft, negotiate, and monitor Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and joint cooperation agreements with domestic dental schools, Ministry of Health entities, and international universities.
● Facilitate joint academic programs, research collaborations, and clinical training initiatives with partner institutions.
● Student & Staff Mobility:
●Coordinate academic exchanges, visiting scholar programs, and fellowship opportunities for faculty members, postgraduates, and undergraduate dental students.
● Manage incoming foreign visiting professors and foreign clinical observers/fellows.
● International Student Support:
● Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for international undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at the faculty.
● Assist international applicants with orientation, academic integration, visa procedures, and administrative requirements in coordination with the central ASU International Relations Office (IRAC).
● International Ranking & Visibility Support:
●Gather and submit institutional data regarding research outputs, international collaborations, and joint publications to enhance the faculty’s standing in global university rankings (QS, Times Higher Education, U.S. News).
● Promote global accreditation initiatives for the faculty’s dental programs.
● Conferences & Cultural Exchange:
● Co-organize national and international dental conferences, forums, workshops, and webinars held by the faculty.
●Represent the faculty in educational fairs, delegation visits, and international diplomatic/academic forums.
