Comprehensive Dentistry
Develop a systematic full mouth diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment planning. Interns will be able to manage restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and periodontal procedures under expert supervision.
Laser Dentistry
Gain structured knowledge of dental laser systems and how they are used clinically. Training includes hands-on experience using diode and erbium lasers, case discussions, and live demonstrations in various specialties.
Conservative Dentistry
Improve your skills in esthetic and functional restorations. This round focuses on caries management, direct and indirect restorations, minimally invasive techniques, and clinical precision.
Endodontics
Develop diagnostic skills and confidence in root canal treatment. Interns perform single- and multi-rooted cases, use rotary instruments and interpret digital radiographs.
Fixed Prosthodontics
Learn diagnosis, material selection, and execution of fixed restorations including crowns, bridges, posts, endo-crowns, and managing clinical complications.
Oral & Maxillofacial Prosthodontics
Get exposed to removable dentures, attachments, and implant-supported restorations. You will participate in advanced cases and learn material selection and prosthetic workflow.
Pediatric Dentistry
Train in child behavior management and pediatric dental procedures. Training includes behavioral management, pulp therapy, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers, and pediatric restorative procedures.
Orthodontics
Learn the basics of orthodontic diagnosis, when to refer, and appliance principles. You will also be introduced to digital orthodontics, photography, and case documentation.
Oral Radiology
Gain hands-on experience with digital intra-oral imaging, panoramic radiography, and CBCT interpretation using several software platforms.
Oral Surgery
Build practical skills in simple and surgical extractions, suturing, and managing post-operative complications, with clear guidelines on when and how to refer complex cases.
Oral Medicine, Periodontology & Diagnosis
Learn comprehensive oral examination, periodontal treatment, minor surgeries, and biopsy techniques. This round strengthens your diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
Digital Prosthodontics
A one-month immersive program designed to introduce interns to modern digital dental workflows. Participants learn scanning, CAD design, and digital manufacturing techniques through hands-on training and simulations. The course covers esthetics, implant planning, and restorative design using advanced software and technologies. By the end, interns complete full digital cases from data acquisition to final restoration.
Guided Implant Planning
A one-month intensive program focused on digital implant planning and surgical guide design using advanced radiographic workflows. Interns develop the ability to interpret CBCT scans, create structured implant reports, and execute the full guided surgery workflow from data acquisition to guide fabrication. Through hands-on training with industry software, participants gain practical experience in precision-driven treatment planning. Ideal for those aiming to build a career in digital implant dentistry and guided surgery.

When and How to apply?
• Applications are available throughout the year
• Required Documents must be presented in person at the Internship unit and the Visiting Residency Unit Faculty of Dentistry – Ain Shams University
• Some departments might require a placement test and/or personal interview
• Acceptance is based upon availability
Egyptian Students Graduating from Ain Shams University
Required Documents
● Four copies of the National ID – Front and back printed on the same page
● One original recent birth certificate for females
● Two original recent birth certificates for males “showing the triple number”
● One recent personal photo (4×6)
● Physical attendance is mandatory to submit your papers
● Military Forms (Form 2 & 3 – Jund) – Obtained from the Military Recruitment Office or the nearest police station (Males only)
● Copy of Military Deferment until the age of 28 – Issued by Student Affairs Office (Males only)
Fees
● EGP 2,000 per month (Single Discipline)
● EGP 7,000 per month (Integrated / Comprehensive discipline)
● Payment method: Electronically via visa/master card at the faculty premises
Egyptian Students Graduating from Egyptian Universities other than Ain Shams University
Required Documents
● Official letter from the university – Signed and stamped – Addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University
● Copy of a valid National ID
● Personal attendance is mandatory
Fees
● EGP 6,000 per month
● Payment method: Electronically via visa/master card at the faculty premises
Egyptian Students Graduating from Overseas Universities.
Required Documents
● Original graduation certificates + certified true copies – Authenticated and stamped by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
● Copy of a valid National ID
● Copy of military service status (for males)
● Original Equivalency Certificate issued by the Supreme Council of Universities
● Physical attendance is mandatory to submit your documents
Fees
● EGP 6,000 per month
● Integrated / Comprehensive disciplines: EGP 14,000 for two months
● Payment method: Electronically via visa/master card at the faculty premises.
Non- Egyptian Students
Required Documents
● Original Graduation Certificate:
● Must be authenticated and stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
● Authentication is required both outside Egypt and inside Egypt, as applicable.
● Physical Attendance at the Faculty To obtain preliminary approval for registration.
● Upon approval, approval letter must then be submitted to the Embassies District – Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt to obtain the preliminary security clearance.
● Copy of a Valid Passport
Fees
● Non-Egyptian Students Graduated from Egyptian Universities
● USD 400 per month (Single discipline)
● USD 800 per month (Integrated / Comprehensive disciplines)
● Non-Egyptian Students Graduated from Universities Outside Egypt
● USD 700 per month (Single discipline)
● USD 1,400 per month (Integrated / Comprehensive disciplines)
All Payments shall be made through the Arab African International Bank, Cairo, Egypt.
