The Laser Center at the Ain Shams University Faculty of Dentistry is a specialized unit established to advance clinical leadership, it serves as a hub for teaching, scientific research, and advanced patient treatment.
Key Functions & Services
• Clinical Treatment: The center utilizes modern laser techniques for painless cosmetic and surgical dentistry. These technologies offer high precision, reduced discomfort, and faster recovery times compared to traditional methods.
• Education & Training: It provides comprehensive training for both Egyptian and international dental students. The center hosts approximately two annual workshops yearly and various training courses focused on the latest advancements in laser surgery and applications.
• Scientific Research: The unit supports faculty members and researchers in conducting studies on laser applications in dentistry, contributing to research presented both within and outside the university.
Objectives & Facilities
• Goal: To provide excellent medical services and ensure continuous training for dental practitioners to keep them updated with global scientific developments in laser surgery.
• Strategic Role: It operates alongside other specialized digital centers—such as the Digital Orthodontics and Digital Dental Technology Centers—to integrate cutting-edge technology into the faculty's educational and therapeutic processes.

Laser Internship
The Laser Internship Program at the Ain Shams University Faculty of Dentistry is a pioneering one-month clinical round designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and advanced practice for dental graduates. This new program commenced in Novemebr 2026. Since then, it has gained a lot of interest by many national and international interns being one of a kind in Egypt.
This immersive focused program provides interns with hands-on training in laser-assisted procedures, including painless cosmetic and surgical techniques. Participants work in state-of-the-art clinics equipped with the latest technology, gaining expertise in emerging fields like Dental Laser Technology under the supervision of renowned faculty.
The internship focuses on enhancing clinical precision, patient care through evidence-based protocols, and professional growth, often culminating in academic competitions and scientific workshops to showcase interns' developed skills. This program has limited seats and is usually fully booked 6 months in advance.
