The Faculty of Dentistry – Ain Shams University organized a welcoming and orientation meeting for newly enrolled students to introduce them to the Faculty, academic system, educational programs, student services, support units, and various activities and opportunities available to them.
The meeting featured a welcoming address by Prof. Kariem El-Batouty, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, who emphasized the importance of academic commitment, practical training, effective use of the Faculty’s resources, student activities, communication, and teamwork skills.
Prof. Reham Magdy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, introduced the students to the educational system, academic regulations, and procedures, while Prof. Maram Obaid, Director of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery Program, presented an overview of the academic program, curriculum, and practical training.
The meeting also highlighted the services provided by the International Students Follow-up Unit, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Club, Alumni Follow-up Unit, Student Support Unit, Psychological Counseling Unit, E-Learning Unit, Student Excellence Hub, Student Union, and student committees, emphasizing their role in supporting students, developing their skills, and encouraging participation in university life.
Following the orientation meeting, the students attended their first lecture delivered by Prof. Walid Saeid Zaki, Professor of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
The meeting reflects the Faculty’s commitment to providing a supportive and integrated university environment and helping newly enrolled students successfully begin their academic journey.
