Ain Shams University Faculty of Dentistry Organizes an Awareness Seminar on Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Kariem El-Batouty, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Walaa Hamed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University organized an awareness seminar entitled “Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Awady, Director of the Sustainability Center at Ain Shams University. It was held as part of the university’s commitment to promoting a culture of sustainability and raising awareness of the importance of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, thereby supporting Egypt’s efforts to build a more sustainable future.
The seminar highlighted the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and their role in achieving a balance between the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development. It also emphasized the importance of coordinated institutional and community efforts to promote sustainable practices, strengthen the principles of social responsibility, and preserve natural resources in ways that enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
The seminar also reflects the community engagement role of the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University and its commitment to raising awareness of sustainable development issues and encouraging active participation in initiatives that promote the responsible use of resources and environmental protection.
The Faculty reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to organize awareness events and activities that contribute to achieving Ain Shams University’s vision for sustainable development and strengthening the role of university institutions in serving the community and advancing environmental development.
