The Students with Disabilities Support Center at the Education and Student Affairs Sector of Ain Shams University organized the Summer Camp from July 20 to August 20, 2026, as part of the University’s commitment to empowering students with disabilities and promoting their active and inclusive participation in university life.
The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant University Secretary for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and implementation by Dr. Samar Ragab, Director of the Students with Disabilities Support Center, and the Center’s team.
The Summer Camp featured a diverse range of training courses, sports activities, and artistic and creative activities. Training courses addressed workplace communication skills, orientation and mobility, speech and language disorders, life skills development, self-management and social interaction, and work-based production. The program also included sports activities at the Faculty of Dentistry, as well as artistic activities such as drawing, sculpture, printing, handicrafts, singing, acting, and theatrical movement.
The program contributed to developing students’ personal, social, and professional skills, enhancing self-confidence and independence, discovering talents, promoting teamwork and positive interaction, and better preparing students for university life and the labor market.
The Summer Camp reflects Ain Shams University’s commitment to providing an inclusive, supportive, and empowering university environment, ensuring equal opportunities for students with disabilities and strengthening their integration and active participation within the university community.
