The Inter-University Dental Interns Competition was successfully held on 12 February 2026 at Ain Shams University, bringing together 444 dental interns from Ain Shams University and several other universities in a distinguished scientific gathering.
The competition featured parallel academic tracks designed to highlight both comprehensive and focused clinical expertise:
Multidisciplinary (Comprehensive) Cases:
A total of 18 complex multidisciplinary cases were presented, demonstrating integrated diagnosis, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary management. Following evaluation by the jury panel, 6 winners were selected in this category.
● Poster Presentation Session:
The event also included 7 scientific posters, presenting clinical and research-based work. After assessment, 2 winners were announced in the poster presentation session.
● The scientific program was further enriched by two distinguished keynote lectures delivered by:
● Prof. Dr. Khaled Aly Nour, Professor of Operative Dentistry
● Prof. Dr. Maged Zohdy, Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics
Both lectures provided valuable clinical insights and significantly enhanced the academic depth of the event.
In addition to the scientific activities, giveaways were distributed to attendees throughout the day, adding an engaging and interactive element to the competition.
The event concluded with the official announcement of winners and prize distribution, celebrating excellence in clinical reasoning, presentation skills, and scientific contribution. The competition reflected strong inter-university collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing dental education and professional development.
