Earth Day celebrations, April 22 of each year

In conjunction with World Earth Day, which falls on April 22 of each year, the University’s Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector celebrates Earth Day, under the patronage of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and coordination of Prof. Jihan Rajab, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the general supervision of Major General Ahmed Lashin and the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary General of the University for the Sector.

Where Prof. Hisham Tamraz planted a number of trees on the university campus in the presence of Prof. Jihan Rajab and Prof. Noha Samir, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research, and Dr. Hala Awad, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Suhail Hamza and a group of university professors, students, and students of the for Egypt family

Also, Prof. Jihan Rajab provides guidance to students on how to rationalize electricity consumption, use electricity-saving devices and conserve energy in general, how to preserve the environment, rationalize water consumption, and use environmentally friendly products.

Earth Week aims to raise the level of awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, activating the university’s role in preserving the environment, raising the level of social responsibility among the university community, and contributing to reducing environmental pollution.

In the framework of spreading cultural awareness to the students of Ain Shams University as well as learning about the cultures of the different countries and peoples of the world, the community service sector and environmental development organized respectively the People's Week Festival.

In celebration of Earth Day...a student marathon

For the second day in a row, Ain Shams University continued its celebrations of World Earth Day, which falls on April 22 of each year, as the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector organized a student running marathon, under the patronage of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and coordination of Prof. Jihan Rajab, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the general supervision of Major General Ahmed Lashin, Secretary-General of the University, and the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector.

In celebration of Earth Day...a tree planting campaign

It is noteworthy that the first day activities launched by the university yesterday in celebration of World Earth Day included planting trees on Campus 2, and the Zaffran Palace was also illuminated in green and educational instructions were displayed on the internal screens of the university’s main campus.
The events were held to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, activate the university’s role in preserving it, and stimulate social responsibility among members of the university community to contribute to reducing environmental pollution.
