Participation in medical convoys affiliated with the college and university to serve underserved areas.
Development of the Oral, Maxillofacial, and Prosthetic Surgery Unit, as this unit contained only one operating room in the old building, in addition to two dental units for minor procedures.
Now, the unit contains three operating rooms equipped with the latest technology, including anesthesia equipment, a surgical microscope, a patient recovery room, an intermediate care unit, 11 patient beds, and a doctors' lounge. The unit also contains four clinics that can accommodate eight dental units for oral surgery under local anesthesia, and a sterilization unit.
Many patients visit the unit daily. Some are treated for a nominal fee, while others receive free treatment due to their financial circumstances.
This modern equipment has had a positive impact on the unit, achieving a strong financial position during this period.
